Telios

From the first workshop to confident daily operations

A core banking system succeeds when the institution around it is ready. Dunamis Networks guides you through every stage of the move to Telios: configuring it around your practices, bringing your data across intact, reviewing your books and controls, training your teams and standing by them once you are live.

How we support your institution

  • Implementation and configuration

Telios is configured around your products, your organization and your controls, so it works your way from day one.

    • Working sessions with your teams to document products, fees, interest rules, accounting practices and approval levels
    • Your organization, branches and chart of accounts, built from the COBAC (PCEMF) template
    • Products, rates, fees and taxes, each with the accounting entries its operations generate
    • Roles, authority limits and approval rules aligned with your staffing and internal controls
  • On-site installation

Under the perpetual licence, Telios runs on infrastructure you control. We install it alongside your IT team.

    • Installation on your own servers, or in the private or public cloud of your choice
    • Database, secure sign-in with two-factor authentication, and backups put in place
    • A full restore rehearsed before go-live, so your backups are proven, not assumed
    • Hand-over to your IT team with operating guides for the day close, backups, restores and monitoring
  • Data migration

Your customers, accounts and loans are transferred from your current system, and every figure is reconciled.

    • Data taken from standard files, Excel workbooks or a backup of your current system's database (SQL Server)
    • Trial migrations before go-live, each reconciled with your current trial balance
    • Every difference investigated and resolved before the final migration
    • The final migration formally signed off by your institution before Telios goes live
  • Accounting and controls review

Our in-house chartered accountants review your set-up before go-live, so your books open on a sound footing.

    • Review of the chart of accounts and of the accounting entries each product generates
    • Verification of the opening position: migrated deposits, loans and ledger balances agreed to your last closing trial balance
    • Assessment of approval levels, authority limits, segregation of duties and access rights
    • A written report of findings and recommendations, discussed with your management before go-live

This review is part of the implementation. It does not replace the statutory audit carried out by your institution's external auditor.

  • Role-based training

Each team learns exactly what its role requires, on a demonstration institution, before handling real customers.

    • Learning paths for tellers, customer service, loan officers, accountants, supervisors, managers and administrators
    • Practical exercises on a demonstration institution, including the errors Telios is designed to prevent
    • A competency checklist for every role, so you know who is ready to go live
    • User manuals for every role
  • Integrations

Telios is connected to the services your institution already relies on.

    • SMS and e-mail gateways, and, with their add-on modules, MTN MoMo, your ATM switch and your card processor, once your agreements with them are in place
    • Your own systems and partners, through the Telios partner API and its developer sandbox
    • Every connection tested end to end before it carries live transactions
  • Go-live and ongoing support

We stand by your teams through the first days and beyond.

    • On-hand support through the first business days, the first day closes and the first month-end
    • A dedicated support channel for your administrators, by ticket
    • Access to your data only with your security administrators' approval: read-only, limited to a few hours, and fully recorded
    • New Telios releases applied as agreed with you

How a project unfolds

  1. Discover

We study how your institution works today: products, branches, controls and reporting.

  2. Configure

Telios is set up with your products, accounts, roles and approval rules.

  3. Migrate and reconcile

Your data is migrated on trial, reconciled, corrected, then signed off.

  4. Review

Our chartered accountants review the accounts, the opening position and the controls.

  5. Train

Each team trains on its own tasks, on a demonstration institution.

  6. Go live

The final migration, the first day close, and close support through the first weeks.

  7. Support and grow

Ongoing assistance, updates and new modules as your institution grows.

The scope, timetable and fees of each service are agreed with your institution and set out in the relevant agreement, together with the service levels.
